Meet the Company:

We have partnered with a very well respected Private Equity/Real Estate firm on the Peninsula who is looking for a dynamic Senior Controller to join them. This is a great opportunity to mentor a strong Accounting team and continue to build out the function, which will have a lot of influence over the company’s success. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual who will oversee both financial records as well as manage the team. 

This role’s schedule is 4 days onsite, 1 day remote.

About the Role:

• Manage day-to-day corporate & property accounting operations with the accounting team (Cash, AP, GL, etc.) and provide training/guidance where needed
• Month-End/Year End close through accurate Financial Reporting
• Review of portfolio analysis & performance monitoring
• Fund Accounting; ensure accurate fund records through reconciliations and reporting
• Ensure adequate processes and controls are in place and followed, implement new controls where needed
• Assist in budget and forecasting activities as needed
• Oversee the annual audit process with external auditors
• Work interdepartmentally on special projects

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, preferably with a concentration in Accounting or Finance
• 7+ years of experience within Real Estate 
• CPA and Public Accounting strongly preferred
• Hands on experience managing a team
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and a desire to learn and improve

Base Compensation Range: 200-225K/ year.
