Design Director – Intimate Apparel Brand

A forward-thinking, mission-driven intimate apparel brand is seeking a Design Director to lead all aspects of product design across categories. This is a rare opportunity to shape the creative vision of a brand that’s redefining comfort, sustainability, and style in the lingerie and loungewear space.

About the Role

As Design Director, you’ll drive concept through final product, overseeing seasonal design direction, product development, and overall creative execution. You’ll be responsible for maintaining the brand’s elevated yet minimalist aesthetic while innovating in fit, fabric, and function.

This is a full-time, in-office role based in NYC, working alongside a tight-knit, collaborative team.

What You’ll Do

🎨 Lead Creative Direction: Own the seasonal creative vision and product roadmap

✏️ Design Product: Create technical sketches, mood boards, and color stories

🧵 Oversee Development: Work closely with technical design and production to bring concepts to life

📦 Manage Vendor Relationships: Collaborate with mills and manufacturers to source innovative, sustainable materials

📈 Analyze & Adapt: Use customer feedback and sales data to inform design decisions and iterate accordingly

🤝 Team Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, merchandising, and leadership to ensure alignment on brand goals and positioning

You’re a Great Fit If You…

✔️ Have 8+ years of design experience, ideally with at least 3 years leading a design team

✔️ Have strong technical knowledge of apparel construction, with a deep understanding of fit and function

✔️ Are passionate about ethical design, sustainability, and modern minimalism

✔️ Are highly organized and can manage multiple timelines and collections at once

✔️ Have a strong POV and are excited to push boundaries while staying true to the brand
