Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Systems Engineer position! This is a 12+ month contract opportunity and will be hybrid in Buffalo, NY (4 days onsite, 1 day remote) OR fully remote option available. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C.

Position Overview:

Position will support our enterprise automation solution (Broadcom Automic) for day-to-day functions such as job setup/reviews, deployments and incident resolutions. Project work will consist of patching and upgrades. CoLo migration activities into a new datacenter.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Completes activities related to larger and/or more complex installations, configuration, operation and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.
• Ensures system hardware, operating systems, software systems and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff and partners.
• Respond to and resolve help desk escalations based on prior incident outcomes
• Analyze system issues and create trending reports to support long-term solutions
• Develop and document procedures for work orders and request-based tasks
• Troubleshoot and resolve advanced technical incidents using diagnostic tools
• Perform system maintenance activities including patching, health checks, OS updates, and validation of changes
• Research anomalies, provide recommendations, and collaborate with senior staff
• Schedule maintenance to minimize operational risk
• Provide coaching and mentorship to less experienced team members
• Support scheduled evening responsibilities
• Develop and maintain documentation for maintenance procedures and operational standards
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement

What You'll Need to Have:

• Job Automation Support (Automic)
• Operating System Support (Linux, WIndows)
• Database Management System Support (Oracle, SQL)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field
• Certifications or specialized training in related technologies

Pay Range: $40-$48/hr
