Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Operations Manager located in Memphis, TN. The Operations Manager will oversee and ensure operational efficiency across daily activities, including managing supply chain processes, optimizing logistics, maintaining facilities, and supervising inventory management. Additionally, the role will require collaboration across teams to improve processes, ensure compliance, manage budgets, and lead a team of operations staff to achieve organizational goals effectively.

Key Responsibilities
Site Leadership & Operational Oversight
- Serve as site lead in the absence of the VP of Operations, ensuring continuity of operations and accountability.
- Drive daily operational execution across logistics, inventory control, quality, and facilities.
- Maintain alignment between operational performance, cost control, and customer service expectations.
- Must work onsite at the Memphis facility and have a reasonable commute.
- 3+ years of management experience leading teams
Logistics & Freight Management
- Monitor and manage backorders, proactively communicating status, risks, and recovery plans.
- Oversee container tracking, freight coordination, and expediting of inbound and outbound shipments in collaboration with Global Supply Chain and local operations.
- Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery while optimizing freight cost.
- Partner with operations, finance, and procurement to forecast freight spend and identify cost savings opportunities.
- Support RFPs, carrier evaluations, and quote comparisons as needed.
- Track logistics KPIs and drive corrective actions to improve service and reduce variability.
Inventory Control & WMS
- Maintain high inventory accuracy through disciplined cycle counting and root cause analysis.
- Oversee WMS data integrity and ensure proper transaction execution.
- Support system-driven process improvements in receiving, inspection, put-away, picking, and shipping.
- Ensure accurate system handling during operational transitions or dual-site operations.
Quality Management & Process Discipline
- Lead Engineering Change Notice (ECN) process management, ensuring timely and accurate updates to documentation and production workflows.
- Drive local implementation and enforcement of inbound inspection SOPs for all containers.
- Implement and maintain quality logs to track nonconformances, corrective actions, and recurring issues.
- Define and enforce shipment photo policies and documentation standards to ensure compliance and traceability.
- Facilitate structured root cause analysis and corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
- Conduct periodic reviews of quality procedures and update policies to align with customer requirements and best practices.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce errors, shorten lead times, and streamline workflows.
Facilities, Maintenance & Operational Support
- Oversee facility readiness, maintenance coordination, and vendor service performance.
- Manage site-level supplies and support operational cost control initiatives.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Align logistics and quality objectives to ensure customer orders are shipped accurately, on time, and in compliance with standards.
- Partner with operations, purchasing, sales, finance, and quality to ensure corrective actions support both supply chain efficiency and product integrity.
- Balance urgent expediting needs with sustainable process improvements.
- Serve as primary liaison between logistics providers, Global Quality/Logistics, and internal stakeholders.
