Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineer – High-End Residential Construction

Location: New York, NY or Boston, MA

Salary: $100,000+ (Based on Experience)

A premier luxury residential design and construction firm is seeking two experienced engineers specializing in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing (MEP) systems for high-end single-family homes. The ideal candidates will have expertise in at least two of these three disciplines and a strong background in Revit-based project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and coordinate MEP systems for luxury residential construction projects.
• Utilize Revit to create and manage detailed mechanical, electrical, and plumbing models.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, and construction teams to ensure seamless system integration.
• Conduct site assessments and system evaluations, ensuring efficiency, functionality, and compliance with high-end residential standards.
• Troubleshoot and optimize MEP installations, working closely with subcontractors and project managers.
• Assist in the selection of materials and equipment to maintain quality and performance.
• Review and refine project specifications to meet industry codes, sustainability goals, and owner expectations.
• Maintain clear documentation and contribute to ongoing BIM workflows for accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing engineering within the residential or high-end construction sector.
• Proficiency in Revit is required; experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, HVAC systems, electrical distribution, and plumbing infrastructure.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate effectively with design and construction teams.
• Familiarity with luxury home systems, high-efficiency MEP solutions, and smart home integration is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Plumbing Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
