We are a respected Labor & Employment law firm in Chicago, providing high-level legal counsel to clients across a range of industries. Our practice is expanding, and we are seeking a Corporate/Commercial Attorney with litigation and transactional experience to join our team.

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Associate Attorney (4-6 years) with a strong background in commercial litigation as well as exposure to contract review and corporate transactions. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling complex litigation matters while also assisting in corporate legal work such as business transactions, governance, and contract negotiations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle commercial litigation matters, including breach of contract disputes, business torts, and other corporate-related litigation.
• Represent clients in state and federal courts, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
• Conduct contract review, drafting, and negotiation for a variety of corporate agreements.
• Provide counsel on corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and business structuring.
• Work collaboratively with the firm’s labor and employment practice to address corporate compliance issues.
• Manage multiple legal matters simultaneously and communicate effectively with clients.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• 4-6 years of experience in commercial litigation and corporate law.
• Strong litigation skills, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and handling motion practice.
• Experience with contract review, corporate governance, and business transactions.
• Excellent research, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
• Licensed to practice law in Illinois (or eligibility for admission).
