Staff Accountant – Top Public Accounting Firm in Norfolk
Our client, a growing public accounting practice in Norfolk, is looking to add a Staff Accountant to their already stable team. This role is ideal for recent accounting graduates or young professionals who want to continue building their skills in a supportive, professional environment. The position offers the opportunity to work directly with experienced CPAs, gain exposure to a variety of public accounting functions, and receive support while pursuing a CPA license.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial statements
- Assist with individual and business tax preparation
- Perform account reconciliations and maintain general ledgers
- Support bookkeeping and transaction recording for multiple clients
- Collaborate with senior staff on client projects and engagements
- Research and help resolve accounting issues as they arise
- Maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulations
