The Project Engineer Position:

The Projects Engineer – Physical Security will primarily serve as a CCTV, network, and access control system designer, working in-office to develop detailed security system layouts. This role is also focused on pre-sales support, partnering with sales and project management teams to assess client needs and create purpose-built designs for commercial security systems. Key responsibilities include producing high-quality design documentation, participating in design meetings, researching new technologies, and contributing to internal technical resources and processes.

Additional responsibilities include researching new technologies, supporting escalated technical issues, participating in various meetings, and contributing to internal technical resources and process improvements. Strong technical, communication, and project management skills are essential.

 Preferred Experience, Skills & Abilities of the Project Engineer:

• High School Diploma required
• Must have two or more years of practical hands-on field install or service experience.
• Must have two or more years of security design experience
• Must have a working knowledge of CCTV, access control systems, network, intercom and commercial intrusion systems
• Bluebeam experience required, CAD experience a plus
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Working knowledge of network communications and IP addressing
• Must have a working knowledge of local/national codes
• Must be able to read and create drawings
• Brivo, Open Options or other access control certifications, other enterprise grade access control system certification a plus
• Hanwha Wave, Alta, YourSix, i3 International, Exacq, Milestone, Avigilon, / VMS Certification, other enterprise grade CCTV system certification a plus
• Must obtain and retain any specific product certifications and/or licenses that are required by national, state and local codes

Compensation, Benefits, and Structure of the Project Engineer:

The position is permanent, full-time and exempt with a competitive salary based on skills and experience. The business hours for this role are Monday through Friday 8am-5pm with potential weekend hours. After the first few weeks of training at the Farmington Hills, MI location, there is the possibility for the right candidate to work a hybrid office/virtual schedule. Travel for this role will be minimal and only required on an as-needed basis.
