About the Role
Our client is seeking a Technical Project Manager with broadcast/media industry experience to support large-scale broadcast technology and media infrastructure initiatives.
This role is focused on managing technical projects within broadcast/media environments, including infrastructure upgrades, system implementations, technology rollouts, and cross-functional engineering coordination.

This is not a content production or creative PM role. The focus is on technology delivery, infrastructure coordination, systems implementation, and enterprise project execution within media/broadcast operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end delivery of technical projects within broadcast/media technology environments
• Manage project plans, timelines, milestones, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communication across multiple workstreams
• Coordinate closely with engineering, infrastructure, operations, broadcast technology, and vendor teams
• Support implementations, migrations, upgrades, and rollouts involving broadcast systems, media infrastructure, or enterprise technology platforms
• Run status meetings, project reviews, stakeholder updates, and executive reporting
• Identify project risks, blockers, and dependencies while driving mitigation plans and issue resolution
• Track project scope, timelines, documentation, budgets, and delivery milestones
• Ensure strong project governance, reporting accuracy, and communication across technical and non-technical teams
• Support fast-moving, high-visibility initiatives across multiple concurrent projects
Required Qualifications
• 4–10 years of Technical Project Management experience supporting infrastructure, systems, or enterprise technology projects
• Must have prior experience within broadcast, media, streaming, or entertainment technology environments
• Proven experience managing technical implementations, infrastructure projects, migrations, or enterprise systems rollouts
• Strong experience working directly with engineering and technical teams
• Experience managing projects involving broadcast systems, media infrastructure, or technical operations environments
• Strong understanding of project management fundamentals, including planning, risk management, dependency tracking, scope management, budgets, and delivery execution
• Experience using project management tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, MS Project, Asana, or similar platforms
• Strong proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, reporting dashboards, and executive-level updates
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional technical teams
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear project plans and updates
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment with multiple concurrent initiatives
• Must be local to New York City and able to work onsite 3–5 days per week
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting broadcast technology transformations or enterprise media infrastructure upgrades
• Exposure to video delivery platforms, broadcast operations, media asset workflows, or streaming technologies
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, storage systems, networking, or media workflows
• PMP, Agile, Scrum, or related project management certifications
• Experience supporting large enterprise organizations or consulting-driven environments

• This role requires a combination of both technical project management experience and broadcast/media industry exposure
• Candidates coming strictly from general IT PM backgrounds without media/broadcast experience will likely not be the right fit
• Candidates coming from broadcast/media operations without strong technical PM experience will also not be the right fit
• Ideal candidates have managed technical infrastructure or systems projects specifically within broadcast, media, streaming, or entertainment organizations
