A fast-growing AI-driven SaaS company transforming operations in one of the world’s largest and most traditional industries is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a high-impact integrations team. Backed by top-tier investors and rapidly scaling, the company is embedding intelligent automation into complex workflows used by field professionals and enterprise teams alike.

The integrations team plays a central role in connecting core platform capabilities to customer systems and workflows. This includes processing high volumes of structured and unstructured data from a wide range of third-party platforms and document systems, enabling AI-powered automation to drive efficiency and insights.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead a High-Impact Engineering Team

Manage and scale a backend-focused team responsible for critical data and system integrations.

Define technical vision, establish priorities, and align execution with product and company goals.

Drive Platform Integration Strategy

Oversee a multi-tenant integration architecture that handles high-throughput data ingestion from third-party APIs, file systems, and authentication layers (e.g., OAuth, SAML).

Ensure the integration layer is scalable, observable, and reliable across partner systems.

Support External Developer Experience

Work with external developers and strategic partners to enable seamless use of integration frameworks.

Develop internal tooling, documentation, and frameworks to support partner extensibility and platform security.

Ensure Data Integrity and Platform Resilience

Establish best practices around uptime, observability, data validation, schema mapping, and fault tolerance.

Maintain trust in downstream systems by championing quality and reliability across integrations.

Collaborate Cross-Functionally

Partner with Product, Machine Learning, and Customer teams to deliver integrated, AI-enhanced solutions that are impactful and timely.

Contribute to broader system architecture and long-term technical planning.

Qualifications:

7+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years leading backend or integrations teams.

Strong background in Node.js/TypeScript and integration design (pagination, rate limiting, retries, token refresh).

Experience designing scalable backend systems with a focus on APIs, data pipelines, and platform extensibility.

Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on execution, reliability, and real-world customer outcomes.

Bonus: Familiarity with document-heavy workflows, enterprise SaaS, or field operations technology.
