Join a cutting-edge team driving innovation for the U.S. Air Force. The Site Technical Director facilitates the transition of emerging technologies from research labs into operational use, supporting mission-critical objectives for Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC).
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as liaison between AFGSC and AFRL to identify and advance technologies
- Lead stakeholder engagement across small businesses, labs, and defense contractors
- Develop transition plans and tech roadmaps for priority capabilities
- Advise on acquisition strategies, including SBIR/STTR and lifecycle management
- Oversee technical staff and cross-site coordination
Focus Areas
AI, hypersonics, communications, clean energy, cybersecurity, quantum tech, digital twins, robotics, and more
Qualifications
- Master’s in Engineering or Science
- 10+ years in acquisition, test, or engineering
- 2+ years with HQ-level operations
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Air Force Global Strike Command core competency.
Preferred:
- PMP or DAWIA Certification,
- Experience with DoDI 5000.02
