Position Summary: Medical Director
As Medical Director, you'll guide clinical protocols, mentor fellow veterinarians, and foster a positive team culture. Responsibilities include:
- Leading by example in patient care and surgical standards
- Overseeing clinical decisions and workflow improvements
- Coaching DVMs and support staff
- Collaborating with operational leadership
Veterinarian Role Expectations
- Provide preventive care, diagnostics, and chronic disease management
- Perform soft tissue surgeries (e.g., spay/neuter, mass removals, FB extractions)
- Administer dental care (extractions with radiographic support)
- Promote Fear Free™ handling and client-centered care
Qualifications
- DVM or VMD from AVMA-accredited program
- Licensed (or license-eligible) to practice in Maryland
- 3+ years of clinical experience (small animal)
- Strong surgical and dental proficiency
- Prior mentoring or leadership experience preferred
- Excellent communicator with a passion for collaboration and growth
