As the (Commissioning Manager), you will be responsible for facilitating commissioning activities and ensure coordination amongst stakeholders in construction completion, commissioning and handover of facilities on site including the concentrator facilities, water treatment facilities, dewatering facilities, materials handling facilities, tailing filtration plant, paste backfill plant, permanent hoisting facilities such as hoist and shaft, and ventilation/refrigeration facilities. Manage multiple contractors including planning, scheduling, reporting, health, safety, security, environmental compliance, quality, community relations and meeting targets within budget and on time and ensuring compliance with commissioning plans and systems by our contractors
Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Close interaction and facilitation of processes with site construction contractors, ensuring that work is always executed in a safe manner;
- Ensures that corporate safety and business goals are met or exceeded;
- Development of Site Commissioning standards and procedures
- Reviews and approves project execution schedules with input from Manager Project Execution and Construction and Construction and internal stakeholders;
- Ensures timely submission of contractor progress and cost status reports to the Project Controls Team;
- Implement remedial recovery action as required;
- Participates in the site Quality Circles initiative;
About You
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technical Degree (Construction or Similar) and appropriate Trade qualifications.
- Drive company vehicle and be covered under company insurance.
- Minimum 10 years of large-scale mining construction site management experience across all trades;
- Experience in commissioning complex industrial systems, value greater than 200M USD.
- Experience in development of commissioning processes for large-scale mining construction projects.
