Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and resolve high-exposure and latent injury claims with precision and strategy.
- Evaluate liability, coverage, and litigation posture across a range of complex scenarios.
- Lead negotiation efforts, set litigation strategy, and oversee external legal counsel.
- Establish and review reserves with a disciplined and analytical approach.
- Participate in internal claim audits and quality assurance oversight.
- Act as a thought partner to leadership—shaping department policies and complex resolution strategies.
Ideal Candidate:
- 5+ years of experience handling complex claims in P&C insurance, or a JD with relevant litigation experience transitioning into insurance.
- Deep familiarity with general liability, toxic torts, environmental, and/or sexual misconduct claims.
- A strategic communicator skilled in navigating sensitive, multi-party negotiations.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a lean, expert-driven environment.
- Licensed claims adjuster (or willingness to become licensed shortly after hire).
- Based in the EST time zone preferred.
