Accounting Manager– JRP Design & Remodel

We’re looking for an Accounting Manager to oversee all financial operations for our luxury residential remodeling company. This role is responsible for accounting accuracy, job costing, payroll, compliance, reporting, and team leadership.

The Role 

The Accounting Manager oversees day-to-day accounting operations and supports leadership with accurate financial data across all projects. You’ll manage reporting, payroll, compliance, and construction accounting processes while helping improve systems and team performance. 


Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage AP, AR, job costing, and project budgets  
  • Lead monthly WIP reporting and financial reporting cycles  
  • Oversee month-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries  
  • Maintain annual budgets and financial forecasting  
  • Process payroll and manage payroll tax compliance  
  • Handle sales tax, use tax, workers’ comp, and insurance reporting  
  • Oversee subcontractor payments, lien releases, and compliance docs  
  • Support client billing and project financial closeout  
  • Lead and support accounting team members  
  • Maintain internal controls and improve accounting processes  

 

What We’re Looking For 

  • 5+ years accounting experience (construction/job costing strongly preferred)  
  • 2+ years leadership or supervisory experience  
  • Strong experience with QuickBooks Desktop  
  • Solid understanding of WIP, job costing, and financial reporting  
  • Experience with payroll, tax filings, and compliance  
  • Advanced Excel and strong attention to detail  
  • Strong communication and ownership mindset  


Compensation & Benefits 

  • $110,000 – $130,000 annually (DOE)
