Let’s be honest…Not all accounting jobs are created equal.
Some are:
“Please reconcile this spreadsheet for the 47th time.”
This one is:
👉 “Help us navigate SEC reporting, complex equity transactions, and actually matter to the business.”
We’re looking for a Senior Accountant who speaks fluent 10-K, dreams in GAAP, and doesn’t panic when someone says ‘EPS calculation.’
You’ll be a key player in:
- SEC reporting (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K… the greatest hits)
- Technical accounting (the stuff people pretend to understand)
- Monthly & quarterly close (but the important parts)
What You’ll Actually Do
- Prepare and review SEC filings — yes, the ones investors actually read
- Own key pieces of the close process (equity, EPS, reconciliations, all the fun stuff)
- Partner with auditors (and maybe even enjoy it… we won’t judge)
- Help ensure SOX compliance without losing your soul
- Tackle technical accounting topics like stock-based comp, leases, and new standards
- Support earnings releases and investor-facing materials
- Jump into projects that keep things interesting
What You Bring
- 4+ years in accounting (public, private, or both)
- Solid experience with SEC reporting
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Excel skills that go beyond SUM (we see you, VLOOKUP warriors)
- Attention to detail that borders on “wait, how did you even catch that?”
Bonus Points If You
- Have a CPA (or are on the path)
- Survived Big 4 (extra respect 🫡)
- Have worked with tools like SAP, Workiva, or Equity Edge
- Actually enjoy solving technical accounting puzzles
Why This Role
- High visibility — your work actually gets seen
- Smart, collaborative team (no accounting silos here)
- Fast-paced environment where you’ll keep learning
- Competitive comp - $100,000-$150,000
- Based in La Palma area (yes, there’s good food nearby — very important)
If you’ve been waiting for a role that’s more than just ticking and tying… this is your sign.
Apply now — or send it to that one accountant friend who actually likes technical accounting (we all have one).
