Position: Director of Community Veterinary Programs

Location: Windsor, Ontario - Fully On-site

Status: Permanent, Full Time

Our client, a respected not-for-profit leader in animal welfare, is seeking a Director of Community Veterinary Programs to oversee operations at a busy public veterinary clinic and lead innovative outreach to underserved pet owners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead clinic operations, ensuring compliance with veterinary standards and delivering high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter and wellness services.
• Develop and expand community outreach programs, including mobile clinics, low-cost vaccinations, and public education.
• Build partnerships with community organizations to improve access to veterinary care.
• Mentor and manage veterinary and support staff, fostering a collaborative and compassionate culture.
• Represent the organization at public events, advocacy initiatives, and with key stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate:

• DVM, licensed or eligible in Ontario, with 3+ years’ clinical experience (HQHVSN or shelter medicine an asset).
• Strong surgical skills, leadership ability, and a passion for accessible, community-focused veterinary care.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse partners.
