Position: Senior Project Management Specialist (Confidential Government Client)

Contract: 1 year + potential 6-month extension

Location: Hybrid (Ottawa – ~12 days/month onsite)

Target Start Date: Dec 2025

Hours: Full-time (37.5 hrs/week)

Overview:

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Project Management Specialist to lead major IT infrastructure and network modernization initiatives for a high-profile federal organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and deliver medium-to-large infrastructure modernization projects end-to-end.
• Manage project scope, timelines, resources, risks, and interdependencies.
• Coordinate across multiple technical and business teams to ensure alignment.
• Prepare and present detailed plans, progress updates, and risk reports.
• Drive stakeholder communication, change management, and adoption success.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies — daily scrums, sprint planning, retrospectives.
• Ensure full documentation and completion of all deliverables.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 10+ years in IT infrastructure & network security projects.
• 5+ years in senior project management (enterprise environments).
• Strong background in stakeholder engagement, risk mitigation, and delivery excellence.
• University degree or diploma in IT, Project Management, or Business.
• Exceptional communication, analytical, and leadership skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with lifecycle management, cloud integration, or Zero Trust projects.
• PMP and/or Scrum Master certification.
• Knowledge of large-scale government or financial sector operations.
