£120,000

Lloyds Bank Foundation is one of the UK’s leading independent charitable foundations, backing community-led organisations that change lives. Since 1985, we have invested over £1bn in real terms in communities across England and Wales— through over 45,000 grants in to local organisations, amplifying their voice, and strengthening the power of people and places.

As we complete our 40th anniversary and prepare to launch a bold new strategy in 2026, we are entering an extraordinary new chapter. Our ambition is to ensure everyone in England and Wales is in a good place, personally, at home, and in their community.

We are now seeking an exceptional Chief Operating Officer to play a transformational role at the heart of this shift. This is a rare opportunity to shape the culture, systems and capabilities of an organisation with serious intent, turbo-charging our effectiveness and enabling us to deliver impact at scale.

As COO, you will ensure we have the right resources, data, governance, technology and people practices to deliver our mission. You will lead high-performing teams across finance, people and culture, governance, operations and digital, and act as the organisational “spine”: aligning cross-Foundation delivery. You will be key to driving major change programmes, and strengthening the way we work with the Bank and other key partners. You will also be the senior lead for risk, compliance and portfolio management, instilling confidence across the Board and Senior Leadership Team.

We’re looking for a collaborative, values-driven leader who brings both technical rigour and exceptional people skills. Someone who thrives in cross-organisational roles, enables others to perform at their best, and can steward a mature operational environment through ambitious organisational change. The role is both hands-on and strategic as you prepare the Foundation for growth in scale and impact.

This is a senior leadership role with significant scope: shaping the systems and culture that will enable us to connect and catalyse community-led change across England and Wales.

If you bring a can-do, enabling approach and want to help build a Foundation ready for the next decade we’d love to hear from you.
