Overview
We’re supporting a major core banking modernization initiative with a leading financial technology organization. The team is upgrading from legacy FIS TPSS/TPT platforms to FIS D1, redesigning their digital banking ecosystem and integration layer for scalability, performance, and future cloud readiness.
As the Product Architect, you’ll serve as a bridge between product design and technical execution—shaping the migration roadmap, defining integration patterns, and ensuring that new digital capabilities align with business and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and design for the modernization of core banking modules from FIS TPSS/TPT to the new FIS D1 platform.
- Define and oversee integration architecture for digital banking systems operating on a hybrid cloud model (on-premise to Azure/AWS).
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and business stakeholders to translate functional banking requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance in configuring, testing, and deploying core banking services and APIs.
- Support migration strategy development, data mapping, and validation across legacy and modern platforms.
- Contribute to governance, documentation, and best practices around FIS product usage and integration standards.
Required Experience
- 
10+ years in enterprise or product architecture within the banking or financial services domain.
- Proven experience in core banking implementation or modernization projects.
- Strong working knowledge of FIS products — including TPSS, TPT, D1, and MBP.
- Background in defining or implementing hybrid cloud architectures (Azure and/or AWS).
- Solid understanding of core banking functions such as deposits, payments, and customer servicing workflows.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business context.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Prior experience leading or contributing to FIS D1 migration projects.
- Familiarity with modern integration frameworks, APIs, and message-based middleware (Kafka, MQ, etc.).
- Knowledge of core banking modernization methodologies, including data migration and API enablement strategies.
