Overview:

We are hiring a Senior VMware Engineer with deep expertise in VMware and Veeam technologies to lead customer infrastructure projects and serve as an escalation point for high-priority issues. The role is 75% project work, including building customer environments and disaster recovery solutions, and 25% advanced support for escalations. You'll interface directly with technical teams at customer organizations and must be comfortable owning delivery timelines and complex technical environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and support VMware infrastructure solutions for multiple customers (vCenter, ESXi, NSX, vCloud Director).
• Deliver Veeam-based backup, replication, and disaster recovery services (Cloud Connect, VRO).
• Own project implementation timelines and deliverables; proactively manage communication around scope and delays.
• Serve as SME on VMware and Veeam escalations, collaborating directly with client technical teams.
• Participate in infrastructure upgrades, onboarding projects, and planned system updates.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 7+ years of experience in VMware engineering roles, ideally within an MSP or service provider.
• SME-level knowledge of vCenter, ESXi, NSX, and vCloud Director.
• Deep experience with Veeam tools, especially Cloud Connect, backup/replication, and VRO.
• Proven track record managing infrastructure projects end-to-end.
• Strong communication and accountability skills — ability to provide realistic timelines and follow through.

• Experience working in deadline-driven environments with direct client interaction.
• Strong documentation and time management habits.
• Able to handle 3–5 concurrent client projects without losing execution quality.
