SHIPPING/RECEIVING - PIPE SPECIALIST - 2nd shift (train on 1st)
$17.50 /hour while training - $19.25/hour on 2nd shift
Objectives
• To support the Manufacturing operation by consistently meeting or exceeding the departments’ Efficiency and Productivity Goals
• To work as a team to consistently achieve 98% serviceability on Pipe Nipples.

• Maintain a professional, ethical and respectful attitude while exercising teamwork.
Responsibilities
• Record information for shipping & receiving into data collection (location, material, footage, etc.…)
• Enter bin transfer information into the scanner (data collection)
• Conduct inventory activities per written procedures / work instructions.
• Resolve specific inventory problems as needed.
• Assist in all activities that support inventory accuracy, on time delivery of product and customer (internal and external) satisfaction.
• Put away any material, if required, in a timely manner.
• Process the required number of daily orders / jobs, in a timely manner.
• Effective communication with all other departments regarding inventory issues.
• Advocates the spirit of teamwork and personal accountability in the performance of other duties and responsibilities as requested by department supervisor.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime when asked by a manager or supervisor.
Requirements
• High school graduate, G.E.D., or equivalent.
• Able to use and read a scale/ruler up to 1/32” Excellent work habits including punctuality, attendance, and work ethic along with flexible scheduling hours as needed.
• Ability to perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workload.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, and RF Scanning.
• Capacity to work in a total quality management environment with continuous process improvement.
• Excellent work habits including punctuality, attendance, and work ethic
• Ability to work individually and with others to continuously improve our company
• Standing / Walking / Bending & Climbing for entire shift, capable of lifting 50-70 lbs. frequently, pushing and pulling bulky material and carts weighing up to 200 lbs.
• Must be able to operate all Powered Industrial Equipment (PIE) (including but not limited to pallet jacks, stand up/sit down tow motors, cherry pickers, WAVE machines, cranes, Booms, etc.) by adhering to Merit’s safety
procedures/processes
• Tow motor experience preferred, but not required
