Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Sales Account Manager to lead business development efforts for stamped metal components, products, and assemblies. This individual will drive top-line growth by employing consultative, value-added sales strategies and managing customer relationships to support strategic and financial objectives. The position focuses on selling process technologies across a range of industrial and commercial markets (excluding automotive), with an emphasis on revenue generation and long-term customer success.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement customer-specific growth strategies for selling metal stamping capabilities to both new and existing clients.
  • Establish and maintain strong customer relationships across multiple levels of an organization.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from identifying opportunities to negotiating contracts and closing deals, while aligning with each customer’s goals and internal decision-making structures.
  • Analyze trends within relevant industries and assess market positioning and competitive differentiation.
  • Collaborate with internal operations, engineering, and quality teams to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve issues as needed.
  • Track and contribute to annual revenue targets and commercial initiatives through reporting, forecasting, and strategic planning.


Supervisory Responsibilities

This role does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.

Education & Experience Requirements


Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in sales, engineering, business, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum 5 years of proven sales success in the stamped metal products industry (outside of automotive)
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals
  • Ability to manage complex sales processes from opportunity development through closing
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly metal stamping
  • Familiarity with industry certifications, quality standards, and regulatory compliance relevant to metal component manufacturing
  • Advanced interpersonal and presentation skills for engaging with a range of stakeholders
  • Proficient with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Ability to work independently, think strategically, and adapt quickly
  • Robust industry network and contacts ready for potential business outreach


Preferred:

  • Background or working knowledge of machining technologies

  • This position involves routine office work with occasional need for travel or visits to client and plant locations
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods; occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds
  • Visual capabilities required include near and far vision, color differentiation, and depth perception
  • Vision correction is permitted, provided safety protocols are followed


Work Environment

  • Primarily a standard office setting with minimal noise
  • Occasional exposure to manufacturing environments, which may involve higher noise levels and non-climate-controlled conditions
