Position Summary

We are seeking a Sales Account Manager to lead commercial growth initiatives for advanced manufacturing solutions in the MedTech and Life Sciences sectors. This role is focused on driving revenue through a value-driven, consultative sales approach while building long-term customer relationships. The individual will be accountable for achieving financial targets and fostering collaboration between customers and internal teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build and execute a strategic account plan to expand business with both new and existing clients, specifically targeting medical components, devices, and assemblies.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact, nurturing strong relationships across multiple levels within client organizations.
  • Lead customer negotiations and contract discussions, taking into account each client's operational needs, structure, and decision-making style.
  • Analyze trends in the global healthcare manufacturing market to identify growth opportunities and assess competitive positioning.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve customer issues, contribute to strategic planning, and implement enhancements to the sales process.
  • Monitor and achieve sales goals and performance metrics as defined by the organization.


Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not include direct supervisory responsibilities.


Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate a blend of technical knowledge, communication skills, and strategic thinking. Initial competency will be evaluated upon hiring, with ongoing assessment through performance, results, and continuing education.


Education & Experience


Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent work experience)
  • Minimum of five years in medical device or MedTech sales, with a proven record of exceeding sales targets
  • Demonstrated success in building client relationships and managing full-cycle sales processes
  • Expertise in technical solution selling, particularly involving precision components and manufacturing services
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing standards and regulatory requirements within the medical industry
  • Working knowledge of machining, stamping, or related process technologies

  • Must be fluent in written and spoken English
  • Ability to interpret industry publications, contracts, and financial data
  • Competence in performing basic and applied mathematical functions including percentages, ratios, and statistical data
  • Capable of evaluating complex information and making sound, data-driven decisions
  • Able to understand and interpret reports, customer data, and process metrics


Physical Requirements

  • This role primarily involves desk-based work with occasional movement within office or customer facilities
  • May be required to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally
  • Visual acuity needed for computer work, reading reports, and identifying technical components


Work Environment

  • Typical work setting is a professional office environment with occasional visits to manufacturing areas
  • Office noise levels are minimal, though exposure to higher noise levels may occur when visiting shop floor or production environments
