We are seeking a dynamic Regional Sales Manager (RSM). The RSM will be instrumental in driving the company's ambitious goal to double business growth and establish our portfolio as the preferred Mexican Food ingredients for mainstream consumers. This role demands a high-energy leader who is passionate about sales growth, customer service, and market expansion. The RSM will be responsible for managing all aspects of business within the Texas region, including Grocery Retailers, Distributors, and Wholesalers. Key responsibilities include achieving sales fundamentals, managing P/L, forecasting, pricing, analytics, trade management, and ensuring retail execution aligns with company goals. All priorities are centered on delivering accelerated growth across all retailers. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

• Deliver sales fundamentals (distribution/assortment, shelving, pricing, and merchandising) MAPS goals across all Texas Grocery Retailers/Wholesalers/Distributors on agreed-to retail priorities.

• Ensure all MAPS execution activities & competitive activities are executed against by our broker partners and merchandising teams.

• Consistently work retail (solo/with brokers) to have a consistent pulse on retail conditions (opportunities and challenges).

• Work cross-functionally with internal partners to build a profitable growth plan for the entire region.

• Ensure adherence to company policies are followed.

• Effectively communicate and lead all customer and broker initiatives.

• Ownership of Region P/L, reviewing on a consistent basis to address any variances. Take appropriate action steps to communicate and resolve any of those variances.

• Lead & develop a sales team.

• Full partnership with Business Analytics team to evaluate trends and effects on Volume, Profit, Share. Have complete comprehension of Business Insights and communicate internally to ensure everyone understands action plans needed based on market results.

• Effectively convey market insights & conditions to customer and our leadership.

• Other projects, tasks and duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• 5+ years of retail sales execution responsibility required, preferably in the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry.

• 3+ years of direct retail sales leadership or Broker leadership experience required.

• Fully versed in all aspects of Syndicated Data tools (IRI/Nielsen/Customer Specific tools)

• Experience leading HEB, Grocers Supply, and other Texas based retailers required.

• Self-motivated and ability to work independently within a large market and across various sales partners with differing priorities.

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills; able to effectively communicate cross-functionally and through all levels of management.

• Proficient MS Office Professional Suite.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
