We are seeking a hands-on, commercially driven Director – Ingredients Channel to build and scale its industrial and production-line business segment.
This is a builder role. The Director will be personally responsible for generating new ingredient accounts while developing a structured and repeatable go-to-market model for the channel.
This is not a team management role at inception. The expectation is that this individual will roll up their sleeves, prospect, open accounts, and help us institutionalize the ingredients vertical.
Core Mandate
• Generate 3–5M in new annual business once fully ramped
• Build and manage a disciplined prospecting funnel
• Establish our brands as a credible technical-commercial partner in the ingredients space
• Help define the long-term structure of the ingredients channel
Key Responsibilities
1. New Business Generation
• Identify, target, and secure new industrial and production-line ingredient accounts
• Leverage existing industry network to accelerate funnel development
• Engage directly and/or through broker relationships to open new opportunities
• Lead full-cycle prospecting efforts from initial outreach to commercial close
• Deliver measurable revenue growth aligned with defined performance targets
This role is accountable for tangible results.
2. Technical-Commercial Engagement
• Engage R&D, procurement, operations, and production stakeholders
• Translate customer production-line needs into viable ingredient solutions
• Partner internally with our food engineering, innovation, and manufacturing teams
• Support product trials, testing, and commercialization processes
• Serve as the commercial bridge between technical teams and customers
This role must balance commercial drive with technical fluency.
3. Process Development & Funnel Discipline
• Develop structured prospecting frameworks
• Build measurable pipeline visibility and conversion tracking
• Define qualification stages and activity expectations
• Institutionalize repeatable ingredients go-to-market discipline
The Director will help professionalize the channel, not just sell within it.
4. Strategic Contribution
• Advise leadership on long-term ingredients channel structure
• Provide realistic input on cycle times, conversion rates, and ramp expectations
• Help determine future hiring needs as the channel scales
Required Experience
• 10+ years of experience in ingredients, industrial food manufacturing, or specialty ingredient sales
• Demonstrated track record of opening new production-line accounts
• Experience selling into R&D, engineering, procurement, and plant leadership
• Comfort operating in longer sales cycles with customized solutions
• Proven ability to operate independently in a build-phase environment
