Maintenance Supervisor
Compensation: $80,000 – $100,000 plus bonus
Job Type: Full-time | 2nd & 3rd shift openings
Seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance teams and drive operational excellence at a fast-paced manufacturing facility in Denison, Iowa.
Responsibilities:
- Lead teams of Maintenance Mechanics and Electricians in predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance.
- Train employees on proper work methods and safety procedures.
- Supervise and support maintenance systems, processes, and documentation to ensure high performance.
- Coordinate maintenance scheduling in collaboration with Production to address equipment and facility repairs.
- Develop and implement effective maintenance systems including TPM, SOPs, and safety protocols.
- Provide long-term solutions and day-to-day support for troubleshooting, problem analysis, and equipment failures.
- Develop and maintain KPIs for tracking maintenance performance including equipment reliability and overall equipment effectiveness.
- Provide regular status reports to the maintenance management team.
- Ensure maintenance tasks comply with USDA regulations and maintain accurate records of work performed and inventory.
- Drive a positive employee experience through coaching, development, and strong leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading, training, coaching, or mentoring less experienced staff.
- Ability to lead problem-solving and troubleshooting efforts for high-level process issues.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- Advanced technical skills in ammonia refrigeration, high pressure boiler, compressed air, mechanical and electrical fields (PLCs, instrumentation) a plus.
- Experience with resource planning in a large manufacturing environment preferred.
- Knowledge of maintenance systems, work order processes, preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM, and scheduling software preferred.
- Strong leadership skills including conflict resolution, change management, decision making, and delegation preferred.
