Maintenance Supervisor

Compensation: $80,000 – $100,000 plus bonus

Job Type: Full-time | 2nd & 3rd shift openings

Seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance teams and drive operational excellence at a fast-paced manufacturing facility in Denison, Iowa.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead teams of Maintenance Mechanics and Electricians in predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance.
  • Train employees on proper work methods and safety procedures.
  • Supervise and support maintenance systems, processes, and documentation to ensure high performance.
  • Coordinate maintenance scheduling in collaboration with Production to address equipment and facility repairs.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance systems including TPM, SOPs, and safety protocols.
  • Provide long-term solutions and day-to-day support for troubleshooting, problem analysis, and equipment failures.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs for tracking maintenance performance including equipment reliability and overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Provide regular status reports to the maintenance management team.
  • Ensure maintenance tasks comply with USDA regulations and maintain accurate records of work performed and inventory.
  • Drive a positive employee experience through coaching, development, and strong leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, training, coaching, or mentoring less experienced staff.
  • Ability to lead problem-solving and troubleshooting efforts for high-level process issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • Advanced technical skills in ammonia refrigeration, high pressure boiler, compressed air, mechanical and electrical fields (PLCs, instrumentation) a plus.
  • Experience with resource planning in a large manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of maintenance systems, work order processes, preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM, and scheduling software preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills including conflict resolution, change management, decision making, and delegation preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while building strong working relationships and a positive team culture.
