Maintenance Superintendent

Compensation: $100,000 – $130,000 plus flat rate bonus

Job Type: Full-time | 1st shift

Seeking a Maintenance Superintendent to lead a team of Maintenance Supervisors and drive operational excellence at a fast-paced food manufacturing facility in Cudahy, Wisconsin.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop Maintenance Supervisors, driving success across all building and equipment maintenance efforts.
  • Develop bold strategies to minimize mechanical downtime and keep production lines running at full capacity.
  • Spearhead implementation of cutting-edge maintenance systems including Preventive and Predictive Maintenance and TPM.
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis and Reliability-Centered Maintenance to ensure the plant operates at maximum capacity.
  • Schedule work, reduce unscheduled downtime, and boost efficiency while minimizing costs.
  • Enforce plant safety policies and promote a culture of safety aligned with company objectives and federal and state regulations.
  • Serve as the go-to problem solver for day-to-day operational challenges including equipment failures and recurring issues.
  • Partner with the Plant Engineer to design and manage a Preventive and Predictive Maintenance program using the SAP PM Module.
  • Analyze program data and continuously improve processes to drive equipment reliability and long-term success.
  • Track and report KPIs across all areas including equipment reliability, supplier performance, and overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts to ensure the maintenance function operates at its highest potential.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Food manufacturing experience required.
  • Maintenance supervisory experience required.
  • Experience leading, training, coaching, or mentoring less experienced staff.
  • Advanced technical skills in mechanical and electrical fields including PLCs, instrumentation, and mechanical engineering.
  • Ability to lead resource planning efforts in a large manufacturing environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of world-class maintenance management systems, work order processes, preventive/predictive maintenance, and TPM.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical reasoning skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with presentation skills preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while building strong working relationships and a positive team culture.
