Nurse Practitioner – High-Risk OB / Maternal-Fetal Medicine (NY Metro Area)
Compensation: $130,000 – $150,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
Job Type: Full-time or Part-time, Monday–Friday, daytime schedule, in-person (outpatient)
We are seeking a compassionate and clinically strong Nurse Practitioner to join a growing, high-risk OB consult practice in the NY metro area. This practice specializes in maternal-fetal medicine, providing comprehensive care to women across the full spectrum of pregnancy—from routine prenatal management to the most complex, high-risk cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient care to high-risk obstetric patients throughout pregnancy and postpartum
- Conduct patient assessments, obtain and document detailed medical and obstetric histories, and perform physical examinations
- Develop, implement, and manage individualized care plans in collaboration with the MFM physician and OB/GYN providers
- Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with clinical guidelines and scope of practice
- Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests, imaging, and laboratory results
- Monitor patient progress and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Educate patients and families with empathy, clarity, and cultural sensitivity
- Coordinate care with referring OB/GYNs and other specialists as needed
- Accurately document all encounters in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Participate in clinical collaboration, care planning, and ongoing quality improvement efforts
Qualifications
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) in New York (or ability to obtain)
- Women’s Health, Family, or Adult NP background strongly preferred
- Prior experience in OB/GYN, high-risk obstetrics, or maternal-fetal medicine is highly desirable
- Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and patient-centered approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfort working both independently and collaboratively within a physician-led care team
- Passion for maternal health and improving outcomes for women and families
