About the Role

Join our Fort Worth production lab on a contract basis through the end of the year. You’ll be the go‑to person for routine and advanced testing—no four‑year degree required. If you’ve got hands‑on science experience, an eye for detail, and the flexibility to tackle both swing and night shifts, you’ll keep quality on point from sample prep to data‑driven action plans.

What You’ll Do

  • Sample Preparation & Testing: Collect production samples and run analyses (pH, viscosity, microbial, rheology, etc.)
  • Operate & Maintain Equipment: Use and troubleshoot bench instruments (Rheomat, pH meter, spectrophotometer, moisture analyzer)
  • Microbiology Support: Certify and execute micro‑plating, media prep, and plate counting
  • Data Entry & Trend Analysis: Document results in our quality system, identify trends, and develop quality action plans
  • Quality & Compliance: Help enforce FSSC 22000, PrP, TDH/FDA and internal audit standards; support SOP development
  • Lab Maintenance & Sanitation: Calibrate instruments, manage consumables, keep workspaces clean, and dispose of waste safely
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive lab efficiency by suggesting process tweaks and supporting corrective‑action initiatives

What You Bring

  • Science Background: Coursework or hands‑on experience in chemistry, microbiology, biochemistry, or related lab field (no degree required)
  • Technical Aptitude: Comfortable learning new lab instruments and basic troubleshooting
  • Detail‑Oriented: Strong focus on accuracy, following SOPs, and clear record‑keeping
  • Flexible & Reliable: Available for swing shifts and temporary night shift rotations as needed
  • Team Player: Ready to cross‑train, collaborate with QA and production, and jump in where needed
  • Clear Communicator: Able to escalate out‑of‑spec findings and contribute to action‑plan development
