Opportunity Summary

A high-growth technology startup is looking for a Facilities & Equipment Manager to lead the operation and upkeep of its advanced lab, cleanroom, and fabrication spaces. In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll oversee the maintenance of high-value sensor manufacturing equipment, coordinate vendors and preventative maintenance, manage consumables, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in supporting the production of next-generation infrared sensor technologies for defense and industrial markets.

Job Duties

  • Oversee all aspects of daily facility operations across labs, cleanrooms, and manufacturing environments
  • Lead Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) efforts, including compliance, documentation, and continuous improvement
  • Manage and execute Preventative Maintenance (PM) schedules on critical production and test equipment
  • Monitor and replenish lab and cleanroom consumables and non-consumables
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors for maintenance, service contracts, and supply deliveries (e.g., HVAC, specialty gases, tools)
  • Support permitting, regulatory compliance, and inspections
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to develop facility procedures and resolve operational bottlenecks


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience managing facilities or equipment operations in a technical or manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems, compressed gases, power systems, and mechanical infrastructure
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Ability to operate independently with limited oversight in a dynamic, startup setting
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement


Preferred Experience

  • Experience working in a cleanroom, semiconductor fab, or optics lab
  • Familiarity with specialty gases such as LN2 and Helium
  • Hands-on experience with shop equipment and lab tools
  • Ability to draft and implement procedures and safety protocols

Compensation Details

$90,000 - $130,000
