About Us

We are a fast-growing, venture-backed technology company focused on building ultra-compact, high-performance optical and sensor systems that power cutting-edge applications across defense, aerospace, and industrial sectors. Our proprietary technology integrates infrared imaging, LiDAR, and laser components into small-form-factor devices used in everything from autonomous platforms to tactical surveillance. With a culture rooted in innovation, agility, and engineering excellence, we are redefining what's possible in electro-optical manufacturing.

Job Duties

  • Design and optimize repeatable, scalable manufacturing processes for assembling precision electro-optical devices, including infrared cameras and laser-based sensors
  • Develop and maintain control plans, process flow diagrams, and work instructions to ensure product quality and consistency
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve yield and reduce scrap/rework
  • Lead lean manufacturing efforts such as takt-time balancing, 5S, and Kaizen events to streamline production
  • Utilize statistical process control (SPC) methods to monitor and improve performance
  • Design and build custom jigs, fixtures, and semi-automated tools to reduce labor and cycle time
  • Ensure all processes comply with ISO 9001, AS9100, and ITAR/EAR standards
  • Work cross-functionally with product and design teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • 2+ years of hands-on manufacturing engineering experience in a high-tech or precision hardware environment
  • Experience creating detailed process documentation and implementing quality frameworks
  • Familiar with root cause analysis techniques and implementing corrective/preventive actions
  • Exposure to programming or scripting (e.g., Python) for automation or data analysis
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving production environment
  • Demonstrated ownership of projects from design through implementation

Preferred Experience

  • Background in semiconductor, photonics, or microelectronics manufacturing environments
  • Experience working with opto-mechanical systems, laser modules, or infrared imaging devices
  • Familiarity with hardware/software integration in sensor-based platforms
  • Prior experience designing custom tooling, fixtures, or automation for complex assembly lines
  • Skilled in applying lean manufacturing principles to high-mix, low-volume production

Security Clearance

  • Must be able to obtain US Secret clearance.
