Invoke Staffing is partnering with a well-established, respected commercial and hospitality general contractor in the Raleigh–Durham market to grow their field construction team with an Assistant Superintendent. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated construction professional looking to grow their career on active job sites while learning directly from experienced Superintendents.



About the Role


The Assistant Superintendent will support day-to-day field operations on commercial construction projects, helping ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards. This role offers hands-on exposure to all phases of construction and is ideal for someone ready to take the next step toward a Superintendent career path.



Key Responsibilities


  • Assist the Superintendent with daily jobsite operations and coordination
  • Help manage subcontractors and field labor activities
  • Monitor work progress to ensure schedules and quality standards are met
  • Enforce jobsite safety policies and participate in safety meetings
  • Assist with site logistics, material deliveries, and inspections
  • Review drawings and specifications to support field execution
  • Document daily activities, issues, and progress reports
  • Coordinate with project management teams as needed



Qualifications


  • 1–4 years of commercial construction field experience
  • Experience assisting with ground-up or renovation projects preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and sequencing
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • OSHA 10 (or willingness to obtain)
  • Desire to grow into a Superintendent role
