Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Toronto

Salary range: $90,000-95,000

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our client's finance team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to financial operations, reporting accuracy, and process improvements in a dynamic and evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and oversee the work of Staff Accountants to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with accounting standards
• Lead and support the month-end close process, ensuring timely preparation of financial statements and related reports
• Preparation of journal entries and reconciliations
• Review and document internal controls, support external audit preparation
• Manage operational assets, including tracking, depreciation, and decommissioning activities
• Contribute to the development and implementation of efficient accounting processes and internal controls to enhance workflow and accuracy
• Provide support for ongoing financial reporting in compliance with IFRS

What we need from you:

• In-depth knowledge of IFRS, knowledge of US GAAP is a strong asset
• CPA designated or near completion of the program
• Audit firm training is a must
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong Excel skills and will the ability to pick up new technology quickly
