About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Failure Analysis Engineer to lead failure investigations across power supplies and integrated circuits. This role plays a vital part in supporting both internal development teams and external customers—primarily in Asia—with in-depth technical analysis, problem-solving, and reporting.
You will work closely with engineering, sales, and quality teams to resolve issues related to production, reliability, and customer feedback. This position requires a strong analytical background, hands-on debugging experience, and excellent communication skills in both Mandarin and English.
Key Responsibilities
- Debug and verify AC/DC switching power supply modules using company products
- Conduct failure analysis on power semiconductors and mixed-signal ICs
- Identify root causes through fault isolation, schematic/layout review, and data interpretation
- Produce detailed technical reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with sales and support teams to resolve customer-reported issues
- Support customer relationships in China and Taiwan with remote and occasional onsite assistance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in semiconductor failure analysis
- Expertise in switch-mode power supplies and analog/mixed-signal ICs
- Ability to read and interpret system-level schematics and IC layouts (CMOS and bipolar)
- Fluency in Mandarin (spoken, written, and technical documentation)
- Strong communication skills in English
