Summary

We are seeking a seasoned General Manager to lead the company’s strategic direction and oversee all facets of operations. This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day performance of the business and will serve as the central point of communication between the operational teams and the ownership group. The General Manager will drive company strategy, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure the company maintains its reputation for excellence in quality, compliance, and partner delivery. This is a pivotal leadership role for a driven, hands-on executive looking to scale a respected cannabis operation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the company's strategic vision by aligning operational goals with broader business objectives and evolving B2B cannabis market demands.
  • Oversee all aspects of daily operations across cultivation, production, quality assurance, logistics, and fulfillment to ensure efficiency, regulatory compliance, and exceptional service delivery to B2B partners.
  • Drive financial performance by managing budgets, forecasting, cost control measures, and financial reporting, while identifying opportunities for margin improvement and scalable growth within the wholesale and white-label segments.
  • Build and lead a high-performing cross-functional team by establishing clear KPIs, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, and implementing effective talent development practices.
  • Serve as the operational liaison between the ownership/executive team and the broader organization, translating strategic directives into actionable plans and ensuring transparent, consistent communication.
  • Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with B2B clients and brand partners, acting as the senior representative in key account management, negotiations, and long-term planning discussions.
  • Ensure full regulatory compliance with Health Canada and other applicable agencies, including the maintenance of SOPs, audits, and reporting protocols, while proactively identifying and mitigating operational risks.
  • Champion organizational culture by promoting our core values of integrity, quality, and collaboration, creating a workplace environment that attracts and retains top talent within the cannabis sector.

Experience / Education

  • A minimum of 7–10 years of senior leadership experience in the cannabis industry or other regulated sectors such as pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, or consumer packaged goods, with a strong emphasis on B2B operations.
  • Proven track record managing large-scale, white-label or contract manufacturing operations, with a deep understanding of client service, private-label manufacturing, and supply chain management in a B2B context.
  • Demonstrated experience in B2B relationship management, including onboarding, account growth, renewal cycles, and maintaining long-term partnerships with brands and distribution partners.
  • Expertise in managing internal teams and external partnerships simultaneously, with an ability to align diverse stakeholders — from brand clients to ownership — around shared operational goals.
  • Strong understanding of the Canadian cannabis regulatory landscape, including compliance, licensing, audits, and health and safety requirements, and how these intersect with brand and client demands.
  • Demonstrated leadership in scaling operations while preserving product quality, brand integrity, and internal culture across B2B partnerships.
  • Financial acumen including experience managing P&L, budgeting, and cost structures in fast-moving, margin-sensitive environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Agriculture, Life Sciences, or a related field; MBA or equivalent postgraduate education is considered a strong asset.

Compensation & Perks:

  • Competitive executive salary
  • Full health and dental benefits
  • Opportunities for long-term leadership and growth within a stable, privately held company
  • Involvement in strategic partnerships with industry-leading cannabis brands
