Accounting Coordinator – Job Description
Location: Agassiz, BC (on-site)
White Ash Group has been engaged by a fully licensed Cannabis cultivation, processing, and
consumer packaged goods company to recruit an Accounting Coordinator.
Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Coordinator to join our expanding finance
team. This role supports day-to-day accounting operations and helps maintain the accuracy,
consistency, and reliability of our financial data as the business continues to scale across
Canada.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and general ledger entries.
• Process accounts payable and receivable; manage invoices, receipts, and payments.
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements regularly.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and statements for management review.
• Support payroll processing and related documentation as needed.
• Participate in governmental filings and compliance reporting under the direction of the
Controller.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking.
• Collaborate with the Controller and finance team to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all
financial processes.
• Operate effectively in a fast-paced, growing environment while managing multiple
priorities and deadlines.
• Maintain clean, consistent, and accurate data entry in a regulated industry where
precision is critical.
Qualifications:
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent
experience).
• Proven experience as a bookkeeper or accountant.
• Strong proficiency with QuickBooks (or similar accounting software).
• Skilled in Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively under supervision while managing responsibilities
independently.
• Comfortable adapting to change and maintaining accuracy under pressure.
Preferred Skills (Not Required):
• Experience with governmental filings or compliance reporting.
• Background in cost accounting or managerial accounting principles.
