About the Role

We are seeking a highly driven Sales Account Executive to help lead the next phase of growth for a fast-moving cannabis brand portfolio in New Jersey. This role will manage 4–5 established brands already placed in over 130 dispensaries across the state, while also spearheading the launch of a new brand into the NJ market.

This is not a typical corporate sales role. This is for someone hungry, self-motivated, and deeply embedded in the New Jersey dispensary ecosystem. You will inherit existing relationships and be responsible for expanding them, strengthening brand presence, increasing sell-through, and opening new accounts across the state.

You are on the ground, in stores, building momentum daily. Face-to-face presence matters more than desk time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow sales across 4–5 cannabis brands statewide
  • Take over and strengthen existing relationships with 130+ current dispensary partners
  • Identify and onboard new dispensaries across New Jersey
  • Lead the launch and market penetration of a new cannabis brand
  • Maintain frequent in-person visits to dispensaries to stay top-of-mind with buyers and staff
  • Build brand awareness and drive product education at the store level
  • Work closely with internal sales support on dispatch, order management, and reporting
  • Keep accounts organized and accurate, including cleaning up books and tracking performance
  • Represent the brands at product launches, activations, and key industry moments
  • Be a visible, trusted partner within the NJ cannabis retail community

Who We’re Looking For

  • Proven cannabis sales experience within New Jersey
  • Existing network of dispensary buyers and decision-makers
  • Ability to hit the ground running with minimal ramp-up
  • Comfortable managing multiple brands and priorities simultaneously
  • Extremely self-motivated, resourceful, and results-oriented
  • Understands this is not an MSO environment and not a 9–5 mentality
  • Someone who thrives in autonomy and is excited by commission-driven growth
  • Strong relationship-builder with natural hustle and resilience
  • Comfortable being on the road most of the time
  • Must own a vehicle and be willing to travel across the state

Compensation & Structure

Experienced Talent Package:

  • Base Salary: $70,000 – $80,000
  • Commission: 3% uncapped
  • Mileage and expenses covered
  • Performance reviews consisten
  • Target revenue contribution: $1.5M+ in year one

Emerging Talent / High-Potential Package:

  • Lower base salary
  • Higher uncapped commission up to 5%
  • Ideal for someone young, hungry, and eager to grow rapidly
  • Performance review after a few months

Work Environment

  • Territory covers the entire state of New Jersey
  • Hybrid structure with strong focus on in-person dispensary visits
  • Office presence encouraged during new product launches and key initiatives
  • Virtual calls are supported, but retail presence is the priority
