Position Overview:
The Gym Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the facility, leading a team of coaches and staff to ensure an exceptional customer experience, safe environment, and smooth-running programs. This role combines leadership, customer service, scheduling, sales, and facility management in a high-energy, hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Staff Management
- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise coaches, front desk staff, and support personnel.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on safety, fun, and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular staff meetings, performance check-ins, and ongoing training.
Operations & Facility Management
- Oversee daily operations including class schedules, open gym sessions, events, and parties.
- Ensure all equipment and obstacles are maintained, inspected, and safe for use.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety regulations.
Customer Experience
- Greet and assist members, parents, and visitors with professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Resolve issues, respond to feedback, and ensure a welcoming environment for all guests.
- Oversee membership sales, renewals, and program registrations.
Programming & Events
- Coordinate classes, camps, and special events such as Ninja competitions and birthday parties.
- Collaborate with coaches to develop engaging and effective training programs.
- Assist with marketing efforts, including social media and community outreach.
Financial Management
- Manage budgets, track expenses, and assist with payroll and reporting.
- Drive membership and program growth through sales initiatives and quality programming.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of management or supervisory experience (preferably in fitness, recreation, or youth programs).
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Customer service–oriented, energetic, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in driving membership growth and financial management.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience with youth sports, gymnastics, parkour, or cross fit training preferred.
- Available evenings and weekends as needed for events and peak hours.
