About the Role:

We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Manager of Accounting to oversee daily accounting operations, ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, and support month-end close processes. This individual will manage a small team and play a critical role in maintaining strong internal controls, optimizing accounting processes, and partnering cross-functionally to drive business success.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, AP/AR, fixed assets, and payroll accounting
  • Lead and manage the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Manage external audit preparation and coordinate with auditors
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and company accounting policies
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls in accordance with SOX compliance requirements
  • Partner with internal audit and compliance teams to support testing and documentation of SOX controls
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and control
  • Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff; set performance goals and conduct regular reviews
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred
  • 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SOX compliance, and internal controls
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment



Salary: $120-$140K
