Role Overview


As Senior Accountant, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring financial integrity, driving operational excellence, and enabling smart, data-driven decisions. You'll manage monthly and year-end close processes, produce insightful financial reporting, and support cross-functional initiatives with accuracy and leadership.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly, quarter-end, and year-end close processes including journal entries and account reconciliations.

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, commentary, and variance analysis with clarity and rigor.

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring payments, collections, and audits are accurate and timely.

  • Provide cost accounting support including product costing, margin analysis, and inventory valuation.

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling, collaborating across departments such as supply chain, marketing, and operations.

  • Reconcile and monitor fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and intercompany accounts.

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and financial policies; assist external auditors during audits.

  • Drive process improvements, automation, and enhanced efficiency in accounting workflows.

  • Act as a financial resource and partner for stakeholders in operations, supply chain, and corporate teams.



Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience ideally within consumer packaged goods, beverage manufacturing, or related industries.

  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, advanced formulas, modeling).

  • Solid understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting under GAAP.

  • Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work autonomously in a fast-moving environment.

  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

  • Willingness to work full-time on-site in Melville, NY, embracing the benefits of in-person collaboration.
