Manager of Accounting - Processes, Systems, and Controls - Super Flexible, Hybrid Work Schedule
We’re excited to partner with one of Omaha’s most well-established and highly respected companies to help them find their next key hire. This opportunity is designed for someone who thrives in a dynamic, high-performing environment and who enjoys rolling up their sleeves to drive meaningful change. The role blends technical accounting, strategic thinking, systems implementation, and leadership.
In this role, you’ll be a core part of a collaborative accounting team that is continuously looking to optimize how things are done. You’ll have your hands in a variety of areas including monthly close, internal controls, finance initiatives, and ERP/system implementations. The environment is ideal for someone who brings both technical accounting strength and operational curiosity. Someone whose first thought when seeing inefficiencies is, “There has to be a better way.” If you bring ideas, whether it’s automating workflows, introducing AI tools, or building better reporting systems, you’ll find leadership that is open, supportive, and well-resourced to make those ideas happen.
A key aspect of this position is the unique mentorship opportunity it offers. The long-time controller is actively succession planning and is eager to mentor the right person, preparing them to step into broader leadership over time. You’ll be given the space to rotate around the company, learning processes, controls, and best practices to eventually grow into a segment-level controller role with ownership of accounting, FP&A, ERM, and more across business units.
The ideal candidate is someone who leads with a positive, can-do mindset and is eager to tackle complex problems. A CPA with a Master’s degree is strongly preferred. We’re looking for someone who takes ownership, works independently, and doesn’t need hand-holding, but also knows how to collaborate effectively and ask the right questions. If you prefer spending your time improving processes over sitting in meetings, you’ll fit right in.
This is a team that’s already high-performing, and they’re striving to get 1% better every day. Culturally, this team is humble, intelligent, and focused on doing great work together. There are no egos, just people who take pride in their work, support each other, and believe in creating a healthy work-life balance.
If you're looking for more ownership, more variety, and a long-term seat at the table with a respected Omaha brand, this could be the launchpad for your next chapter. Interviews start in two weeks—reach out now to learn more.
