The Service Dispatcher Position

The Service Dispatcher supports the commercial HVAC service division by coordinating daily service operations and serving as the central point of communication between customers, technicians, and internal teams. This position ensures technicians stay on schedule, customers are informed, and service workflows run efficiently. This position is a great fit for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys teamwork, and takes pride in keeping multiple priorities organized.

 

Responsibilities include answering the customer service line and assessing service needs, dispatching and adjusting technician schedules, reviewing work orders for accuracy, forecasting and scheduling work based on priorities and weather, ordering parts as needed, and serving as a key liaison between Account Managers and Field Technicians to communicate the status of service work orders.

 

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Abilities for the Service Dispatcher Position

  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • Dispatching or call center experience
  • HVAC industry experience preferred, but not required
  • Familiarity with Sage Timberline or Tech Tool
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
