The Project Manager/Estimator Position

The Project Manager/Estimator works directly with the Division Manager and leads the project team from conception to completion by preparing cost estimates, handling quantity take-offs and submitting proposals. Upon successful bid, the PM/Estimator handles operations duties including project budgets, scheduling, and procurement.

Collaboration with staff is key to ensuring projects are bid accurately and completed according to specifications. The Project Manager/Estimator position offers the opportunity to be both hands-on and collaborative in the implementation of new processes, while living up to Merlo’s Value Statement of “What got us here, won’t get us there!”

Experience, Skills, and Abilities of the Project Manager/Estimator

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field
• A minimum of 2 years of Construction Estimating or Operations experience is required
• Specialty subcontractor construction experience is preferred
• Strong desire to actively contribute to a continuous improvement environment
