Position Summary: Reporting to the Director of Imaging Services and/or designee, the Diagnostic Imaging Technologist is responsible for providing radiological care to patients of all ages for the purpose of diagnosing and/or treating anatomical and physiological disorders using ionizing radiation. The technologist must have a working knowledge of conventional radiology and be capable of operating all X-ray equipment and PACS. Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, equipment, supplies, and medications for patient procedures, and providing patient education. Additionally, the technologist should have proven competency in conventional radiography and working knowledge in at least one other area, such as CT, MRI, or Interventional Radiology, if applicable competencies are met. May be required to take call.
