Reporting to the Associate Administrator, the Trauma Program Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of optimal care for critically injured patients. This position involves demonstrating professional competency in nursing processes, as well as planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating trauma patient care. The role includes clinical practice, maintaining trauma registry records, producing Quality Improvement reports, and organizing educational programs related to trauma patient care (from prevention through all phases of care). The Trauma Program Manager also monitors patients’ clinical progress during their hospitalization.

Additionally, this role is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the trauma services, and actively participates in staffing decisions, budgetary planning, leadership, and quality improvement efforts within the department.

Position Qualifications:

  • Education: BSN preferred
  • Experience/Skills: Three to five years of Emergency or Critical Care experience preferred

Licenses/Certificates/Credentials Required:

  • Current California RN license
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification
  • PALS certification
  • ENPC within 6 months of hire
  • TNCC within 6 months of hire (Instructor certification preferred)

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting
  • Ability to lift/position up to 25 lbs
  • Push/pull up to 25 lbs of force
  • Frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, manual dexterity, and mobility
  • Ability to move quickly in emergency situations
  • Vision requirements include adjusting vision as needed to perform job duties

Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to unpleasant elements such as accidents, injuries, and illness
  • Subject to irregular hours

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $128,960 - $205,920 (Full-time)
