What You’ll Be Doing
As a Field Service Technician, you’ll help keep operations running smoothly by delivering responsive, knowledgeable support. Your day-to-day will include:
- Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting desktop systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and common software applications
- Diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to laptops, desktops, printers, and other hardware
- Setting up and managing user accounts, access permissions, and passwords
- Responding to support requests and service tickets in a timely and professional manner
- Working closely with other IT teams to resolve more complex technical problems
- Tracking and updating records for hardware inventory and software licenses
- Performing regular maintenance like software updates and system backups
- Assisting users with basic troubleshooting and offering guidance on effective technology use
- Supporting asset management efforts for on-site IT devices
What You'll Bring
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring a mix of technical know-how and a proactive, team-oriented mindset. Here’s what we’re looking for:
- A current CompTIA Security+ certification (or equivalent, meeting DoD baseline requirements)
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience supporting Windows desktops, laptops, and related devices
- Active security clearance (interim clearance is acceptable)
- A background in IT education is beneficial
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar IT service management platforms is a plus
