Mount Indie is seeking a skilled software developer with 3+ years of experience to join our growing team at PT Mugu Naval Air Station in Camarillo, California. What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop and maintain aviation mission planning software applications and specialized utility programs.
• Analyze user needs and Change Requests (CRs) to develop software solutions and extract requirements.
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and internal/external teams for requirements gathering and support.
• Revise, update, refactor and debug existing code while maintaining compatibility with legacy systems.
• Optimize application performance and ensure code quality, security, and adherence to coding standards.
• Develop comprehensive software design documentation and GUI updates throughout the SDLC.
• Implement high-quality code primarily in C#, Java, .NET.
• Create mission planning capabilities using C# with emphasis on scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Analyze and design databases within application areas, working individually or as part of a team
• Participate in Agile/Scrum/SAFe development processes and ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Learn and implement Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) requirements and P-8 mission specifications
• Understand aviation-specific data formats, security protocols, and operational constraints
• May supervise computer programmers

Qualifications

• Between 3 to 10 years of experience performing the duties described in the functional description
• 3 years’ experience with C#, Java, .NET
• 3 years’ experience with software design principles and patterns
• 3 years’ experience with DevSecOps practices and tools (e.g., SonarQube)
• 3 years’ experience with containerization technologies
• 3 years’ experience working in an Agile development environment
• 3 years’ experience with Web Development and SPA Single page application
• Working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office suite programs, MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

Education

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field
• Substitution allowed:
• 6 additional years of relevant experience without a bachelor’s degree, or 4 additional years of experience with a relevant associate degree
