Job Location: Cedar Knolls, NJ (Hybrid — 4 days in office / 1 day remote)

Role Summary

Our client is a well-established specialty insurance brokerage in Cedar Knolls, NJ with a long track record of managing risk and protecting the assets of high-net-worth families and their businesses. With a deeply loyal client base and a team culture built around relationship quality over volume, they are seeking a skilled Account Manager to join their Personal Lines practice. In this role, you will own the day-to-day service relationship for a dedicated book of high-net-worth personal lines clients — serving as the primary contact for coverage questions, renewals, and ongoing service needs. Working closely with the firm's Producers, you will be instrumental in delivering the white-glove client experience this firm is known for.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for a dedicated book of high-net-worth personal lines clients, delivering responsive, high-quality service
  • Own the renewal process end-to-end — from early outreach and applications through carrier negotiations and binding coverage
  • Conduct proactive coverage reviews to identify gaps and make recommendations tailored to each client's risk profile
  • Handle client inquiries, policy changes, endorsements, and billing issues with professionalism and urgency
  • Negotiate with carriers on pricing, terms, and coverage options to achieve the best outcomes for clients
  • Maintain complete, accurate records in AMS 360 Agency Management System

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in personal lines insurance, ideally serving high-net-worth clients
  • Strong working knowledge of HNW insurance products including yacht, aviation, equine, fine art, jewelry, and umbrella policies
  • Proficiency with AMS 360 Agency Management System (required)
  • Property & Casualty license required (or ability to obtain promptly)
  • Exceptional client service instincts — comfortable managing complex, relationship-driven accounts
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
