Harrison Gray Search has partnered with a fast-growing wealth advisory firm to find their next Staff Accountant in Dover, DE.


The Role

As part of a collaborative Tax & Consulting team, this role involves delivering tax and consulting services, as well as specialized financial planning. The Staff Accountant will assist the team and wealth advisors with a comprehensive process that addresses all areas of a client’s tax planning and wealth management needs.


What You’ll Do


Tax:

  • Front-line preparation of tax returns (federal and state for individual, corporation, partnership, and fiduciary).
  • Clear and timely communication with staff, advisors, and senior management.
  • Develop a command of various software used for tax, paperless document storage, and workflow.
  • Manage client needs and requests; attend client meetings as needed.
  • Develop tax research skills.


Business Services:

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements, including bank reconciliations, payroll processing, and journal entries.
  • Assist with the preparation of various quarterly and annual compliance reports.
  • Support senior-level managers and attend client meetings as needed.


Location & Schedule

  • This position is based in Dover, DE
  • Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • 0–5 years of experience in tax preparation.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and tax analysis software is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-first mindset.
